Comedy routine.

I've had this habit for about the past year of creating meaningless jokes.

It all started when I lived with my roommate Candy. Gold and jems flow from her lips...she is always spouting off something hilarious.

Recently, a response I've been using for everything is, "When in Rome...", which is an old phrase, I know. I also know what it means, but I particularly like to use it in instances it doesn't apply.

For example:

SOMEONE: "Hey, Desi. I really love your earrings today."
ME: "Thank you, I really am a big fan of turqoiuse."
SOMEONE: "Yes, my cousin loves that color too."
ME: "Really, yeah...well, when in Rome, right?"

Boom. Bam.

Oh, and another one is anything having to do with swine flu, or Obama winning the Nobel. So, I combined the two:

(me saying to someone who told me a good joke)
"Wow, if laughter could cure the swine flu, I think that you would have just pwnd Obama for the peace prize!"

And, finally, "if these walls could talk":

SOMEONE: "Wow, your hair looks terrible today."
ME: "Really? Well, if these walls could talk they'd say, 'You're very rude'."

So, there you go. Use them. Adopt them...just like you are a celebrity and my jokes were little black babies.

Buh-bye.
